Wright notes that since the dominant white cannot but exploit the black, they need to instill the inferiority complex into a blackââ¬â¢s sentiment in order to retain the access to the pool of cheap black labor. Mr. Dalton employs the black young people but he as well as his society build a ââ¬Å"blank wallâ⬠between them and the black.
