Importance of College Education Student in high school, college students, and even adults ask a simple question. Is college worth the money? This paper will answer just that question. We all know someone that says it’s not worth it, and that coming out of college with tons of debt and no job is an almost guarantee. The United States now rank 6th for Percentage of 25- to 64-Year-Olds with an Associate Degree or Higher, 2007 says Derbyshire. In a discussion about the standard of living on average is higher (Derbyshire, 2011). Barack Obama said â€Å"folks can make a lot more† pursuing the trade industry â€Å"than they might with an art history degree† (Anonymous, 2014). The expense of college makes it hard for all of those who come from a lower income household to or they are on their own then it could be very tough to get through college. â€Å"Opportunity† Obama says â€Å"means making college more affordable† Anonymous, 2014). President Obama also â€Å"released a series of proposals on college affordability and accountability that includes the idea of pegging eligibility for federal financial aid, consisting largely of Pell Grants and federal student loans, to the earnings of an institution s graduates† (Heller, 2014). This shows that he is trying to make cheaper so that more people in theory will go to college to higher their education because if the lower prices of attending.
